Why do you not offer a vegetarian/vegan share?
-Our farms incorporate livestock into our holistic approach to agriculture, using them to transition into perennially based permanent systems. That is why we offer pasture raised, organically fed animal products in our shares.
What happens if I go on vacation?
-You will need to notify Fair Share Permaculture at least 2 weeks in advance if you plan on going on vacation and cannot pick-up your share that week. We will do our best to accommodate the majority of your missed share on the following pickup date.

Through its philosophy and approach to land use, permaculture accentuates the interconnections between all aspects of an ecosystem, as it weaves together microclimate, annual & perennial plants, animals, soil, energy use (both human and machine), and water management into intricately associated productive communities.

Why is permaculture different from other forms of agriculture?
-Modern agriculture is based on the propagation of annual crops through heavy cultivation, tillage and constant fertilization. These practices quickly deplete levels of valuable organic matter and require significant annual inputs. As permaculture farms, we are striving to create permanent agricultural systems that are focused on integrating annual crops, livestock and creative endeavors with perennial systems in order to reduce our off farm inputs, increase biodiversity, and enhance soil health.
As permaculture farmers, we strive to create regenerative agricultural systems on our farms, and support the growth of resilient communities.
How many people will 1 (one) share feed?
Agriculture is seasonal, and farmers have more or less product depending on the time of year.
Your box will fluctuate in a similar way. In the early weeks, there is less to harvest from garden, and as we move into the abundance of late summer, your shares will be overflowing!
We can promise that you will get at least 10 pounds of meat, fresh eggs, and an assortment of at least five types of vegetables. Your share will also include an assortment of seasonal and value added products and handmade goods. Give us a call to find out more. We are confident you will love it!
